Terms & Conditions – Revised July 2008
Charity Recycling/Fundraising for Charities, does not accept any responsibility, should mobiles, toners or ink cartridges be sent in without the owner’s authority or if the items were stolen and sent in.
Should you choose to recycle for a listed charity, Charity Recycling recycles items and when they are paid by the recycler, we will then credit the chosen charity of your choice. Not all cell/mobile phones and ink/toner cartridges have value, when being recycled and therefore cannot guarantee that your items will raise funds.
If a mobile/cell phone is sent to the Charity Recycling/Fundraising for Charities Office, we may check for the SIM card and try our very best to return it to the owner, should their be one, but cannot guarantee this. If the phone is sent directly in a freepost envelope, in the post it will go directly to our recyclers who have their own Terms & Conditions which has nothing to do with us, but we are fully aware of them and advise that you also read their Terms & Conditions, as it’s important that you understand.
Schools, Clubs, Charities & Individuals who sign them selves up to raise funds via the Charity Recycling scheme are to cash their payment within 14-working days of receiving it. Failure to do so, will result in your payment being cancelled and can take up to 30 working days or more to resolve the issue. Schools, Clubs, Charities & Individuals are also reminded that we have to wait for our recycler to pay us before we can credit you which may not be at the end of each month.
Consignments that are sent to our recycler can take up to 14 working days or more to be processed, especially during busy periods throughout the year.
Charity Recycling/Fundraising for Charities, does not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to items during transit. It is strongly recommended that all customers pack their items(s) to minimise the risk of damage. The freepost envelope or label does not guarantee that the items(s) will be received in the same condition as it was sent.
If items are not clearly marked with the account number, neither Charity Recycling / Fundraising for Charities or our recycler cannot be held responsible for any problems with the processing of these items.
